“Nothing exists except atoms and empty space; everything else is opinion.”
Democritus (460 BC – 370 BC)
Distance is an ever-continuing piece dealing with the physical space related to sound, vision and body. Created through improvisation and strongly relating to the particular performance space, Distance reconstructs itself and develops over time.
The focus is on the spatial distance and acoustic resonance inside and outside the body, distance between performers and their relation to space and audience as well as the distance between us and the infinity of the universe.
